The fourth regular concert of the 'Chulhyungeum Preservation Association', which inherits the traditional melodies and spirit of the late master Kim Young-chul, the founder of Chulhyungeum, is coming to the National Gugak Center! ✨
This performance, 'Modern Humanity: The Path of Sanjo', carries the meaning of 'a wave of people continuing the lineage of Chulhyungeum, those who carry on our tradition and spirit'. It reinterprets the sanjo of Gayageum, Geomungo, and Ajaeng with the unique tone and playing techniques of Chulhyungeum, delivering a deeper and more diverse melody.
From Han Gap-deuk style Geomungo Sanjo 「Mokhyeon Cheoleum」 to Baek In-young style Ajaeng Sanjo 「Melody of Strings, Texture of Iron」, Choi Ok-sam style Gayageum Sanjo 「Recreation, Choi Ok-sam」, and Kim Young-chul style Chulhyungeum Sanjo, experience the new flow of traditional music reflecting contemporary aesthetics and the grand emotion directly at the venue. 🎶
