축제 소개
The Jeongeupsa Cultural Festival is a regional cultural festival held under the theme of "Jeongeupsa," the only surviving Baekje song, and the love of the Jeongeupsa woman. "Jeongeupsa" is a Baekje song whose Korean lyrics were recorded in "Akhak Gwebeom" during the Joseon Dynasty, sung by a wife praying to the moon for the safe return of her husband who went out as a peddler. The cultural festival is an event to inherit the historical meaning of Jeongeupsa and to promote Jeongeup's unique cultural resources to citizens and visitors. The main traditional events are the water-fetching ceremony at Jeonghae Village and the women's ritual honoring the spirit of the Jeongeupsa woman. A new program for this festival is the Baekje costume experience, where visitors can wear Baekje Dynasty costumes and hair ornaments to take commemorative photos. It is a festival that introduces the legend of Jeongeupsa and Baekje culture through traditional rituals and hands-on experiences.
